A NEW, ENVIRONMENTALLY RESPONSIBLE DIRECTION FOR MAURITIUS

The Waste to Energy (WTE) facility at La Chaumière is a project proudly developed by Gamma Energy Limited, a joint venture between Gamma Civic and Covanta Energy. Our WTE facility will provide Mauritius with a safe, sustainable and climate-friendly waste management solution, whilst recovering valuable energy and materials and conserving land for the benefit of our society.

Gamma Energy is assuming responsibility and taking positive action. Indeed by safely and efficiently combusting solid municipal waste to generating electricity we can provide our country with both a reliable source of clean renewable energy and a sustainable waste disposal solution.

We support waste recycling and composting initiatives and will help Mauritius move away from outdated landfill practices that are considered an unacceptable environmental risk and a waste of valuable resources, towards a more environmentally sustainable future.
